When a text is an enigmatic enough, and believed in by enough people, human beings start trying to empower themselves using the text, to
fit themselves into the text. In the case of postmodern society, people read the Biblical text of Revelations and tried to make it happen themselves, believing with their whole hearts that they would come out on top. Who are these people? Not the usual names you'd expect; not academic philosophers or well-paid artists. No, what happened was that the underground created its own society underneath postmodern society that controlled many of the ideas that filtered into postmodern society which was based on the Apocalypse, and this society is incredibly, profoundly racist.
It all started with the distortion of the Logos. Evil, being parasitic on the true word of
God, has no choice but to unsuccessfully try to insert itself into a Divine text, and one with as much chaos going on as Revelations is the perfect vehicle of confusion. Confusion is not a side-effect of this underground society,
confusion is the goal. Of course, all this confusion is in service of power, and since the people involved had rejected absolute
truth, it was parroted that truth was simply a preference, a life-style choice, something to be used and discarded, if it was used at all.
However, these people were being manipulated by evil forces which they do not understand, forces of the Anti-Logos, or a force that distorts, lies about, and ultimately
attempts to corrupt truth. Let's be clear here: Revelations shows the ultimate fate of the Anti-Logos.
God's book is a repository of apocalyptic symbols, but it is so intensely obscure, so wrapped up in symbolism, so chaotic, fractured, and beyond human understanding that to interpret it as a human without a sense of humility is to have a corrupt understanding of it. Yet, postmodernists are not known for their humility, and so a series of cults emerged that had roots in various parts of the text, each seeking power, and each largely defined by race.
The most obvious of these are the cults where either the leader or the race of the cult itself is indentified as a figure within Revelations. This could be literally
God, and we see from the Nation of Islam and cults influenced by it the idea of the collective divinity of the "Black Man" (and conversely, the collective Devilish nature of White people). From there we see attempts for various groups to claim to be the 144,000 Elect in Revelation, always calling their own race the "true Jews" and discarding the very obvious Jews that exist.
On the other hand, the idea of White People being the Devil makes sense when you see the proximity of the ideas of Aleister Crowley to postmodern society, who called himself the Great Beast 666 and was an influential esotericist, and there was a general chaos and inversion of values that came out after fascism (with Hitler figuratively elevated to being the ultimate Devil afterward, or in some cases worshipped as Divine by bad actors such as Esoteric Hitlerists). After Aleister Crowley came Devilish figures out of the Beatnik counterculture influenced by him who simply decided to be as incredibly intoxicated and sexually indulgent as they could all the time and really set off the drug culture and bastardized Eastern Mysticism that would influence subsequent decades. These people had a sort of Luciferian trajectory to their lives, as they shirked mainstream values to live as they desired.
The cults, whether the Five Percent Nation for Black folks, or the Ordo Templis Orientis which tended to attract "white devils" if you will corrupted language in order to change the fabric of reality itself through the Anti-Logos, to define ludicrously arbitrary "truths" that would either empower themselves or disenfranchise perceived rivals. This got carried to its most deadly conclusions in the gangster numerology of various gangs, or the adopting of abbreviations as symbols of power, often secretly influenced by teachings related to race, numbers, and words by the underground cults. Most of the people involved in these cults did not know what they were really messing with, but did so anyways.
A lot of the ideas within this faux apocalypse have their roots in an older, modern thinker named Georg Hegel. Influencing these general apocalyptic tendencies is this philosophy from long before, of the historicity of truth, which viewed truth as evolving toward a teleological end through a historical lens, rather than being fixed in nature. Hegel thought we were evolving toward some
God-like state, and the various truths we adopted, discarded, or changed reflected truth evolving in its own manner along with us, ultimately making truth a function of power rather than an actual, objective thing.
Thus, the Book of Revelations became the blueprint for various groups to pick a narrative (having to do with
God or Devil, according to their own race), and it all fit into their completely spiritually corrupt nature, as they cherry-picked for power from an actual Divine text.
